Cancellation Policy

By booking accommodation or packages at Amamoor Lodge you are acknowledging that you have read, understood and agree to these terms and conditions.

Where legislation changes (such as border closures) prohibit your travel, we will waive cancellation fees up to 24 hours before check in.

For packages including tickets for attractions and events not controlled by Amamoor Lodge the third party cancellation policy will be applied to the relevant portion of a package price.

Whilst we understand unexpected things can happen, to avoid unforeseen circumstances, we recommend travel insurance. Cancellation must be in writing, with a reply from us to confirm receipt of cancellation.

Where possible we will rearrange bookings (sur-charges may apply for different room rates).

  • Cancellations received more than 30 days prior to arrival date will be entitled to a refund less cancellation fee of $25 per room / workshop booking.

  • Cancellations between 30 days and 7 days prior to arrival date will incur a cancellation fee of $50 per room or 25% of .the package cost if this is higher.

  • Cancellations within 7 days but before 2pm on day preceding first nights stay will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

  • Cancellations after 2pm on day preceding first nights stay will be charged the greater of one nights stay at full rate or 50% of the total agreed accommodation or package price.

Should cancellation be due to bad weather, the above policy stands, natural weather occurrences are sadly beyond our control. We highly recommend travel insurance.

For date changes or cancellations by Amamoor Lodge, amounts paid can be transferred to another date or a full refund can be made.

Studio Rooms:

Check in Time – 2 pm
Check Out Time – 10 am

Traditional B&B: 

Check in Time 1.30 pm
Check Out Time – 10.30 am

Early and/or late check in can be arranged for an added fee.

Workshops and Groups: 

Check in Time and Check Out Time – will be notified on confirmation of booking.

Guests Behaviour

All alcohol consumed on premises is done at own risk. We do not take any responsibility whatsoever for injury or accident caused by or to Amamoor Lodge guests, either on or off the premises under any circumstances.

Offensive, loud or boisterous behaviour and/or over the top drunkenness will not be tolerated and guests exhibiting such behaviour will be requested to leave. Foul or abusive language is unacceptable.

Guests come to Amamoor Lodge for the peace and quiet. No noise is expected from guests after 9.30pm.

Any theft or damage to premises will be charged to your account at full replacement cost.


Amamoor Lodge has a ‘No Smoking’ policy in most areas.  There is an outside area set aside for those who wish to smoke.

Privacy Statement

No information is sold or released to anyone about visitors to this site or clients of Amamoor Lodge without prior consent or a court order. In other words, no information is released to anyone unless you give permission first. This includes e-mailed information, enquiries, and any other client/visitor details.


Our policy is that Amamoor Lodge will achieve environmental, social and business sustainability for the bed and breakfast and our fifty acre property.  See below for our susainability measures and policies.

Amamoor Lodge near Gympie on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, is a registered Land for Wildlife Property. Land for Wildlife (LFW) is a unique, voluntary program which encourages private land holders to manage land with existing wildlife habitat, and to re-establish habitat through re-vegetation and restoration projects. The LFW program operates with assistance and cooperation of the Federal Government, Greening Australia and local governments.

Amamoor Lodge has approximately 6 ha of good quality remnant rainforest as well as eucalypt forest. Endangered trees can be seen on the rainforest bush walk. Close to 1000 native trees have been planted for a koala corridor to link habitats.


We are committed to restoring and maintaining the natural environment and rural amenity of the Mary Valley and we work with other enterprises in the local community to achieve this goal. We believe caring for our guests and the environment go hand in hand. Our commitment to environmental sustainability is reflected in our policy that Amamoor Lodge will achieve environmental, social and business sustainability for the bed and breakfast and our fifty acre property.


Amamoor Lodge has been assessed by Earthcheck and our energy use meets or is better than industry best practice.  We employ a wide range of energy-saving measures to reduce energy use.  Measures include sustainable design, appliance selection and use, materials selection and use and day-to-day practices including solar heating, ethanol based fuels, and the use of energy efficient appliances and motion detectors.


Our waste production has been measured as considerably lower than industry best practice (Earthcheck assessment). We employ several waste-saving measures including purchasing minimal or recyclable packaging products, recycling and mulching and composting of organic waste.


Our water consumption is also better than the industry best practice.  Many water-saving measures are used to reduce water consumption, including water efficient appliances, dual flush toilets, low flow/restrictors on taps and showers, the use of grey water treated and waste water recycled above ground and the collection of reef water in two 10,000 gallon tanks.
 Carbon Footprint
We recognise that carbon emissions are a significant factor in climate change and an important sustainability consideration. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint by sourcing local inputs and directly offsetting carbon emissions through our land management practices.
